Introduction

The Notice Sweeper is a process which causes asynchronous notice sends that have been in the Pending status for a certain amount of time to be marked as Failed. Essentially it is a process which times-out notices to ensure none ever get stuck in limbo if there was a problem sending them.

Currently only ISIS sends notices asynchronously, so Notice Sweeper will only sweep ISIS notices.

Set-Up

You can enable and disable Notice Sweeper using the Services tab of the System Options screen:

Note: This option is available for administrators only.

Technical

The Notice Sweeper EuroRunnerBO.NoticeSweeper component is part of the EuroRunner COM+ Application, and runs synchronously under the GMSL Service.

The Notice Sweeper is automatically set-up (with default values) as part of the server installation.
