Since Q1 2008 GMSL has been providing operations in the European power markets. We now have clients with operations in:

  • National Grid (UK)
  • IFA (Interconnection between France and UK)
  • RTE (France)
  • RWE (Germany)
  • IFG (Interconnection between France and Germany)
  • Elia (Belgium)
  • Tennet (Holland)

Our clients range from large integrated portfolios which require frequent rebalancing to those where we might simply check a matching report a few times a day. We have experience of trading on spot exchanges, virtual power plants, capacity management.

GMSL is registered as an "ECVNA" with Elexon and is therefore authorised to make power volume notifications on the UK market on behalf of clients.

GMSL is currently developing PowerTrak - a suite of tools to assist our operations in balancing and notifying power markets. The first module, covering the UK market, successfully completed Qualification Testing with Elexon in Q2 2009.
