What is EDIG@S?
EDIG@S is a EDI messaging standard that was chosen in 1996 by the EDIG@S Working Group formed of major industry players from around Europe. In 2004 it was recommended by EASEE-gas for the exchange of business information, regarding transactions, between parties in the European gas market. While EDI may be considered old as a general technical standard, EDIG@S is still in process of being implemented more widely.
What is ENOM?
ENOM is a messaging system that enables users to generate and send/receive messages in EDIG@S format either through the user interface or through its XML interface. The user interface has been designed so that the day-to-day routine is minimised by the use of templates incorporating standing data and the ability to build a new message from one that has already been sent. ENOM is designed to be flexible with a number of configurations possible and support for EDIG@S syntax versions 1, 2 and 3.
Routing Service
The current standard for sending messages is via FTP over ISDN lines. This means that you need to configure router connections to each counterparty that you wish to exchange messages with. This can be a lengthy and costly exercise so GMSL offer a routing service which enables you to send your EDIG@S messages to us over standard internet connections with GMSL then forwarding your messages down our established ISDN connections.
